Owl in Maple Leaf Tree

6" x 6"
This little owlet found a home in a giant maple leaf. The leaf is transforming into a forest of trees up by the head of the owl. This piece started as a regular autumn leaf and the rest of the elements grew into it. First parts of the leaf were cut out and filled in with blue sky. The rest unfolded part by part.
