Everyday Enlightenment

Client: Everyday Enlightenment
Project Description: I was asked to design and illustrate a logo that would represent the company, which specializes in spiritual wellness, alternative counseling, and meditation
Additional Company Branding: Business card and postcard design
Creative Process: I used an image of an eye to represent the act of seeing from within. The pupil of the eye is is composed of a ying yang symbol for balance which is emphasized by the image of a meditating figure in the center. Photographic images of the elements (water and sky) are used within the components of the design.

It was an enjoyable project and I enjoyed working with Michelle. She is such a positive person. :)

View From Skamania

These sketches show the view from the lovely Skamania Lodge in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge area. Each sketch is showing a view through one of the resorts huge windows. I was able to complete the two drawing or views from the windows. As shown with the third image, the drawings connect together. There were about five large windows to forecast an example of how glorious the view must have been. I took some photographs so that I will be able to complete this project at some point. Drawings completed on translucence paper for an extra glow.

Maidenhair Fern

Quick sketch of a fern. I like to imagine this little fern growing and twisting in the wind. I like the wave pattern found within the stem.

Coastal Pines

Ink drawing sketch of a couple coastal pines. This is inspired by one of these recent windy days in the NW. These majestic plants are amazing holding tight to the edge of a cliff.

Ponderosa Pine

Ink drawing of a Ponderosa Pine found over in the Hood River area of Oregon. The thing I love most about a Ponderosa is the needles -- they appear to be so soft although we all know they are not.
